MEIRAF Posted May 7, 2020 Posted May 7, 2020 Hello, i checked the minimum requeriments and the video card wich i need are a GTX 660 2GB. Now i have a GTX 750 TI 2GB, and in benchmark in Youtube the performance of GTX 660 are a little better. I Buyed the Battle of Stalingrado, when i enter in the multiplayer my fps are between 40 and 60 in low config., but my Memory Ram consumation goes by 8GB witch result in stutters. I dont have many money to buy a better video card, so if i put more RAM the stutters stop? Or no chance? My specs: FX 4300 (Yeah, is old but in the game he's dont use 100%) 8GB RAM DDR3 GTX 750 TI 2GB HD SATA 500GB
LLv34_Flanker Posted May 7, 2020 Posted May 7, 2020 S! More memory might help and possibly some tweaks. But minimum is realistically barely playable. 1

Maybe you should tweak some graphic settings game wise and also have a look at NCP (Nvidia control panel). If you want, please make some screenshots of your game's graphic settings and also maybe from your NCP settings. To alter your RAM is always good, but it won't be the key to resolve your problems. My specs: FX 4300 (Yeah, is old but in the game he's dont use 100%) 8GB RAM DDR3 GTX 750 TI 2GB HD SATA 500GB I haven't played BoS on the 750Ti but I did play Cliffs of Dover and it worked, but it really taxed the card. I upgraded to a 1060 6GB a couple of years ago and it works well, being both much faster and having a good chunk of video memory. So, for you with the 750Ti, I suggest trying the low preset and a resolution of 1280 x 720 to start with. Do a quick mission with just yourself and no other aircraft and see how it runs. If that's OK, try a simple 1 v. 1 dogfight, then some more aircraft. I suspect you'll struggle running it at 1920 x 1080 pixels but you could try. In complex missions your CPU will be a limiting factor. I have the FX-8350 and in some complex missions the game slows down and some of the cores are maxed out. GPU renders fine but the CPU can't manage to keep the simulation going in real time. Dogfights and simple missions are fine though. Edit: Just re-read your question. I have 16 GB RAM and like you say, the game uses around 8 GB so you're probably hitting the virtual memory which in your case with a HDD is going to be very slow. A SSD would speed it up, but so would 16 GB and a new GPU. If you can source another 8 GB RAM for cheap then that's a good option. I'd warn against spending lots upgrading that system. It (like a lot of my system) is old technology and you'd be better served saving for a full upgrade (new motherboard, CPU and RAM). I costed such a system and worked out that via PCPartpicker I could get and AMD Ryzen 5 2600 CPU, 16 GB DDR4 RAM and motherboard for around £250 so not too much. A decent GPU would double that figure. Edited May 7, 2020 by AtomicP Reading comprehension error 1
MEIRAF Posted May 7, 2020 Author Posted May 7, 2020 Gentlemen, thanks !! I will borrow 8GB of RAM from a friend and I will test it, if there is no way in the future I will do a total upgrade (motherboard, cpu, gpu and etc) thank you!
ZachariasX Posted May 7, 2020 Posted May 7, 2020 I have a 780GTX and BoS does NOT run un that card at all. It crashes after about a minute. Do not use the 7XX series GF cards with BoX. 1
