Foobar Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 (edited) Original thread On Wednesday, April 17, we hosted guests. In the office visited Vladimir Barsuk and Roman Ovchinnikov. We have reached agreement in principle about expert testing of simulator IL-2 "Battle of Stalingrad". Photos from the event: Edited April 23, 2013 by Foobar 5
LLv34_Flanker Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 S! Thanks for the update. And it seems VikS is there too :D Oh the times we flew against his =FB= group in original IL-2. Big salute to them all!
71st_AH_Hooves Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 The team looks like they are working their tails off!!!! And having FUN too!! Way to go guys! Keep it up! We are all behind you!
EagleEye Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Nice, thanks Fubar. Can we have names for the faces(maybe B6 know?) please? I think I recognise Albert Zhiltsov, A. Barsuk and VikS.
Bearcat Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Did anyone else notice the modified MSFFB/CH hybrid joysticks..?
Graawl Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 I didn't at first but now you say it... That's a nice piece of hardware ! I can see another modded CH/FFB stick in the second pic' background. I wonder if it's a "standard mod" at 777. Cool to put faces on our favorite suppliers Cheers !
Feathered_IV Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Having the cooperation of the likes of Vladimir Barsuk is pretty amazing. I wonder what his comments will be.
FlatSpinMan Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Great work on providing a mini-update, Herr Bar. I think it's great that the team consult pilots of the real aircraft and then have them try the sim version out. Of course there's a difference between wartime and peacetime conditions ,etc, etc, but still, cool.
=IRFC=Jorri Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Can anyone give some background on these two gentlemen please?
Uufflakke Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Thanx for sharing the images here from the Russian site. By the way, what happened with the other photo's of the team where each member was presented with their name and task for BoS? I'm sure that topic was here 2 weeks ago in the English speaking forum but when I wanted to take a look again later on that day the topic seemed to be disappeared...
Feathered_IV Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Can anyone give some background on these two gentlemen please? Think of Vladimir Barsuk as a kind of Russian Mark Hanna. He gets paid to fly real Il-2's, Yaks, MiGs and Polikarpovs.

71st_AH_Mastiff Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 the last pick of the bald older gentleman, didnt he use to work at Oleg Maddoxxs 1C?
1CGS BlackSix Posted April 19, 2013 1CGS Posted April 19, 2013 What about Roman Ovchinnikov? Roman is a pilot of Yak-52 and he helped us to make dogfight with the real planes) the last pick of the bald older gentleman, didnt he use to work at Oleg Maddoxxs 1C? Yes, he worked with Oleg.
AA_Engadin Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Did anyone else notice the modified MSFFB/CH hybrid joysticks..? I overlooked it, you're right! Any tutorial for producing one of these hybrids, BC? BTW, thanks for the head-up. AA_Engadin.
Sokol1 Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 (edited) I can see another modded CH/FFB stick in the second pic' background. This one is not CH is MS/Suncon F-15, see SFS throttle (MODed too) left of monitor in this picture. http://fastpic.ru/view/33/2013/0419/bf5d355f316044e573d215a6cb8df264.jpg.html This stick MOD are show in Sukhoi forum a few years. 89- Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 (edited) It should be added that despite how it looks from the pictures, test pilots flew ROF and not BOS. BOS physics are still not ready for their testing. Source: http://forum.il2sturmovik.su/topic/315-??????? Edited April 19, 2013 by 89-

Heywooood Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 I didn't see a P-51!!! oh noes!!! no P-51 no buy for me!! I dont undertand how anyone can expect to sell a flight sim without a P-51 - and since I dont see one in these pics that means theres NEver going to be one - its a lead pipe lock I only saw one plane in the sky too - that means no multipalyer obviously - oh noes!!! ruins!! and you HAVE to use a hybrid stick and throttle obviously for the sim to work at all ??? now I have to buy all new flight controller?!! oh NOES!!! I guess Sukoi has some secret deal to make millions off of anyone who buys this game and then learns they have to buy their super modified shovel racer joystick thinger - in reality though - this is a great thread - thanks to the OP for sharing photos of developers and staff having fun with what looks to be a proper flight sim in its beginning stages
71st_AH_Mastiff Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 how come you guys arent using Track ir? or free track?
707shap_Srbin Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 I didn't see a P-51!!! oh noes!!! no P-51 no buy for me!! P-51? What is it?
Uufflakke Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 @=KAG=Bersrk: You really don't know what a P-51 is or is it just a joke? Anyway this is a P-51: https://www.google.nl/search?safe=off&q=p-51&bav=on.2,or.r_cp.r_qf.&bvm=bv.45512109,d.d2k&biw=1920&bih=923&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hl=nl&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&ei=MldyUfa9JKfE0QXG5IGICg About the photo's, I'm curious about what is written on the whiteboard. There is something drawn that looks like a canopy. And what means VS2008? Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 perhaps? For developing console and graphical user interface applications?
Uufflakke Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 Nice, thanks Fubar. Can we have names for the faces(maybe B6 know?) please? I think I recognise Albert Zhiltsov, A. Barsuk and VikS. On the first picture the man left is Michael, the one in the middle is Albert aka Loft and the man right is Andrey aka Petrovitch On the group picture the guy second to left is Sergey, the tallest in the back is Daniel aka Han and the one with orange shirt is Andrey aka Petrovitch again. (correct me if I'm wrong...)
royraiden Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 (edited) I was about to ask the same, maybe they brought it down because it was showing something they they didnt want to reveal yet? I dont know hehe Edited April 21, 2013 by royraiden

HippyDruid Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Ouqvbeuhm4 That is so obviously photoshopped!! --- Seriously now, that was pretty cool to see, albeit a little short, but very cool nonetheless.
MACADEMIC Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 Cockpit looks very good in that video, thanks for posting! MAC
71st_AH_Hooves Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 Very nice those shadows darting across the floor looked really smooth
Bearcat Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 I overlooked it, you're right! Any tutorial for producing one of these hybrids, BC? BTW, thanks for the head-up. AA_Engadin. O have no idea..
