Baron_On_Wings Posted May 2, 2020 Posted May 2, 2020 Hello. This is my first post here in this forum. Hello everyone once again. I am planning to build a new main rig very soon. My current rig is old and I am not getting very good (playable sure but not great) FPS on my machine. My current main rig specs are i7 3770, 16GB DDR3 RAM, GTX780. I am getting somewhere around 60-90 FPS. I tried a FX8350 + R9 280X rig for fun too. That one got 40 FPS RIP But I want to get butter-smooth FPS. I don't mind lowering the settings a bit. I am not sure whether this game is optimized towards Nvidia or AMD. Hmm... I have a 750W PSU so it's ok I have chosen what CPU I'm going to get. It will be an AMD R5 3600. My budget is around 900 bucks so I can't get a better CPU than that. I am torn between these graphic cards (I don't mind getting used as long as they have some warranty left): RTX2060, GTX1080, RX 5700, Vega 64. Right now for the bang for the buck, I think the GTX1080 seems like the best choice. Would the GTX1080 be enough for me? Thanks
L3Pl4K Posted May 2, 2020 Posted May 2, 2020 RTX 2060/ RX 5700 have better feature Set(DirectX Tier) than 1080 or Vega 64. Vega 64 had the worst Performance/Watt of the 4 cards. So make your decsion between RTX2060 and X5700

Are you a time traveler? My 2060 Super at 1080P very good. The FPS changes with what's on the screen obviously, but it's a solid card for IL2 and you're definitely 100+ with the settings at medium to high depending on how much action you've got going on. When I got the card I did a test on an empty part of a winter map with settings at lowest and got around 280FPS.
Baron_On_Wings Posted May 3, 2020 Author Posted May 3, 2020 Thx guys I bought a used RX 5700XT for around 310 dollars.
