How do I finish ‘The noose is tightening’?

I’m playing mission 9 of the Breaking point campaign, The noose is tightening, and keep getting one-shotted by Panzer IVs and even Panzer IIIs, even though I’ve got my front armour facing them. Any ideas on how to survive long enough to finish the mission, without just hiding somewhere and letting the AI do my job?

For anyone finding the mission as challenging as I did, use the reverse slope of the hill in front of the village you’re defending for cover as much as possible, so much that you have to shoot the Panzers through the grass. When the retreat order is given, get up that hill and move to the road to Pravorot as soon as possible, and keep moving to the road even if you’ve lost 3/4 of your crew and your tank is on fire like mine was. By playing like this, I was able to finish the mission and destroy 3 Panzer IIIs and 1 Panzer IV.
