Ok this time I need your help. Im using head tracker and have GTX1070 so Im looking for a budget IPS monitor (1440p/2k) 75Hz (cant stand TNs and Im ok with my Dell U2412M 60Hz). My main question is, should I pick 27" 1440p or 32" 1440p for IL2? 27" will have sharper image (higher PPI) but the 32" would (maybe?) give me better immersion as its larger screen overall. At work I have 32" 4k monitor which I have at 150% of scaling in Win10 and comfortably watching from 80cm. At home my max distance available is also 80cm.

Which should I buy? 27" or 32" with that resolution?

With 32 inches you will probably have an easier time spotting aircraft, even if the game is a little less sharp. With sharpening filters and other stuff applied you may not even notice it much.

And what about image quality? 27" should be better....or....

I mean, its likely to be a little blurrier with the same number of pixels/square inch but more size to cover. I think image quality in terms of colour, contrast, etc. will vary quite significantly between monitors of the same size and resolution, that's a lot more subjective.

In the Nvidia control panel, I upped the "DSR factors" to simulate 1440P on my 1080P 27" monitor. Works great, the image is noticeably crisper, and it's free.

Took a bite off my FPS - 20% maybe - but it was well worth it. I'm running a 2060 Super and I fly small QMB missions most of the time so I had FPS to burn.

In the end it was a free upgrade and I'm lovin' it.

Go for 32". Bigger is better. I´m using a 32" Sony Bravia KDL-32W706B at 1080p since 4 years ago and would never go back to something smaller. Indeed I´m actually thinking about replacing it with a 4K 43" Monitor/TV.

At work im using 32" 4k monitor at 150% scaling and comfortably looking at it from 80cm but that is max distance my table would allow at home. Is that ok for 32" 1440p?

Yes, sure. That would work.

I had to move to a monitor when we moved. Here is what I went with:

Samsung C49RG9 49" 32:9 120 Hz Curved FreeSync HDR VA Gaming Monitor.

One thing to keep in mind is functionality in other areas other than gaming.

Thanks to COVID-19 my workspace at home has to be at par with what I use at work to be just as effective.
