….And bought the La5FN. Lovely plane. And the P38J. Sensitive engines, but the bombload it can carry is devastating. Even when you miss!.

Now, can anyone convince me to get the Po2, the G6 and the MC202.

I still haven't bought the Macchi and the Po2, for me they are not worthy. In the TAW campaign the 20mm is limited for the mc202 so it makes little sense to use it

G6 - Completely underrated... Very capable when used as a pure dogfighter even in very late war scenarios.

Machi - It's got STYLE. A good burst on a fighter will usually do the trick, but good luck bringing down anything heavier. Slightly difficult to handle, but once you get the feel she is VERY agile. Fast for its time period.

Po-2 - You have to already like the Po-2... But hey, if you like moving slow and launching some rockets at ground targets at tree-top level, than this is your ride.

Lol, you're taking yourself too seriously and missing out on some real fun planes to fly.

Thing is I'd rather fly a e7 or f2

P 38 is the best bomb carrying plane we got. You can go full emergency power with it for a while. But keeping it on manifoil pressure 45 will maintain a good speed.
I find it the easiest plane to fly.
PO 2 is the closest you get to have a real flying experience in this game. It actually reminds me of flying a Cessna to its limits.
your constant lack of power is a reminder on how aerodynamics work.
It is just about the best free flight airplane we got.
MC 202 is just beautiful, I think it is pretty well modeled, not having it give you a second rated box experience.
You are not prioritizing fun if you do not have it. This sim is not about common sense or being effective, it is flying the planes that makes you feel good.
If your here for other reasons, well then I petty you, for you truly miss the essentials.
109 G6 is to me after the E series what defines the 109’s. I care not for any other.
Collectorplanes represent the charm in this game, all in their own unique way

I'm no fan of the Bf-109 nor the Macchi. I have both as much to support the game as for any other reason. However, the Po is a great experience, IMO. It's the rinse off at the showers after swimming in the ocean. Basic, clean flying.

If you dont have BoBp 109s, then you should get 109G6

202 and po2 LOL why not ask why not to get ju52 or p-40, same level of waits of code and programers time.

The Po2 is a fun little plane to fly, great for sightseeing and and it carries some decent firepower.

Good times to do that "night witch" stuff where you cut your engine and glide in and "Kaboom!" on some poor unsuspecting schloob.

And at $6, it a frickin' steal.

The 202 is probably my favorite Axis plane to fly in the sim.  It just works for me. Just a delight in the air.

As to the U2-Vs and Ju 52, I own them both, but I can say in all honesty, that I would trade them both for a flyable A20-G, IL-4, B26, or Bristol Beaufighter.  Any one of them would do.

I really like the little plane, but there are only a few that wouldn't trade for any of those. But you go to war with the planes you have, not the planes you want ;)

The mc202 is my favorite premium. It’s quirky and fun to learn. Before the damage model changes I had no problems with the x2 12.7s paired with the 7.7s. Good bursts to the cockpit or engine nacelles caused pk’s and fires easily enough.

PO 2 is not ideal to fly online. It take a very long time to get somewhere and it almost get overspeeded by its targets like train and trucks.
But it is my favorite qmb do what the f.... you want plane. Nothing amuse me more than a free flight in this. I wish it was possible to land everywhere with it, or one could have artillery spotting.
I wish I had a ranch and this one in the barn just for occasional recreation flights

I like sight seeing in the Ju52.  In a campaign it's fun to fly it to a parachute drop to the front as a change of pace from the usual fighter mission.

The G6 is a core German plane for a long time.  I'm an FW90 fan so I don't fly it much, but if you like 109s it seems like a must get.

Macchi and PO2 are cool change of pace planes.  Both quite different from anything else.  It doesn't take much to get $10 value out of a plane.
