MadDog31 Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 Hello all, I am new to this Forum and kind of new to the IL2 Battle of Stalingrad too. I have played mostly the career mode now and i ended up thinking is there anyway to refuel or refill ammo during the mission? I have learnt that there is nothing specific happening at home field when i return there after combat. Thank you!
G_Schwarz Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 am not sure about career but in online server you can refuel and rearm also repair your plane also i don't know how to do it online hope that but i believe it would be through the button ( ` )

Stoopy Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 It's a relatively new feature that is available only if intentionally added to the mission by the creator. So it's hit or miss in maps and missions outside of career mode as well. Over time it may be a more regular feature and one would think that automating it's inclusion in career mode is possible, the IL2 "world" is just catching up with implementing it. Does PWCG use it yet?
MadDog31 Posted April 27, 2020 Author Posted April 27, 2020 Wow thank you so much for your info! I would like to know more about those servers where it is possible. Do you have some pages or anything where i would find more info? From my point of view it would be fascinating to have it in game more popular. That would really make the game more like on-going. Love it!
Riderocket Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 The Unprofessionals Server has got refueling trucks

It’s not a mod, it’s a game feature. it’s up to the mission designer to include it. By the way it’s refuel/re-arm.
Lusekofte Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 Well I flown s bit qmb with the 109 e7. Trying to do as much damage I can with as little ammo I can. At the same time migs are hunting me. I can only say that outcome is equal as it was before the update. Now I cannot easily shoot off the wings on the IL 2 but a well placed shell ruins the oil cooler. I can shoot down more than two migs with my mg. Difference now is it ignite a fire and are more awesome to shoot down. Outcome of ammo and hit is the same as before when I fly P 38 also. In MP I get shot down just as many times as before. I just look cooler now, going down in flames instead of being detached in two pieces. When it come to bombs, I can only say that it is not more wrong than before the patch. Bombs efficiency has been changed quite many times. I am not able to judge what is more realistic. I doubt most of us are capable of that, I only know I encounter static planes and hangars now that seem indestructible

Stoopy Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 Since you own battle of Stalingrad, here's a set of 8 missions that allow you to fly any of the BoS aircraft to engage practically every type of target in the game, with a repair/refuel/rearm (RRR) area set around the big hangar at your home airfield. Not terribly immersive from a historic accuracy standpoint, but fun and gives you an idea of how the RRR feature works (you'll need it!).
