norsetto Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 I think I've seen a similar thread few days ago but, for the life of myself, I can't find it anymore; apologies if this has been already reported. Anyhow, it seems that there is a collision issue between bombs and bridges (or we have dud bombs in il2). Sometime my bomb gets it all right, some other it is going through. I have a video of my last attempt (p39 on a boat bridge) if this can be helpful?

Depending on how low you are, how fast you're going, and what fuse you've chosen, the bomb may not have enough time to arm before it hits the ground. If you take at least a 5 second delay fuse on your bombs then they will almost always detonate regardless of height. Depending on angle they can also skip along water or the ground.
norsetto Posted May 14, 2020 Author Posted May 14, 2020 OK, thanks, I don't think I've ever used anything but the default delay. Will try what you suggests since it seems my bombs will rarely detonate (on bridges).
