Hi all,

First post, day 1 on IL-2, day 1 with any flight sim, really...

I enabled "Full Screen" in the Graphics Settings. It prompted for the game to reboot to apply the new setting, which it did. Unfortunately, however, it now starts as per the image attached. The menu (top right) is now tiny and unreadable, to the point where I can't even navigate back to un-check "Full Screen".

Anyone got any suggestions that might help?

Thanks in advance!

You can un-check the full Screen from the launcher. Before you select play, select settings in the IIRC top right.

Good luck

Along with the above, make sure that the game is using the native resolution of your monitor if you can. It looks like the game is thinking that your monitor is much bigger than it actually is, or there is some kind of scaling set.

Additionally you can try to set your resolution in the startup config here. Then simply enter your resolution in the correct fields. If you continue to have problems just set fullscreen = 0 instead.

I have il-2 installed via steam. But you will find the startup config file in il-2's data folder.

I highlighted the fields you will need to adjust. Just place your resolution in the highlighted fields. Mine resolution is 1920x1080 as you can see.
