How do I center up the off-center iron sights?

Thanks

Off-center Iron sights? On what plane and what kind of sight?

Either way, for examples such as the Fokker DVa with an off-axis sight (the collimators), you can simply adjust your viewpoint to where you have a good sight picture, press F10 which saves that viewpoint, and be on your way. This makes it reset the view exactly where you last saved it, i.e. the sight picture you set. Just throwing this bit of info in case this is what you're looking to do.

Otherwise maybe you could clarify the issue further?

If you are using VR, you will need to run the game in flatscreen mode to  be able to adjust your viewpoint, before pressing F10, to save your current viewpoint.

Or edit the snap view files in data\Luascripts\snapviews.

CVC is the your default/center viewpoint and the format goes pitch, yaw, forward/back, up/down, left/right, field of view.

@Smelly_Fella

Easy - delete snapviews in \data\Luascripts\snapviews by this default will be used , in yours case - correct ones

Better - hold kp5 (numerical keyboard 5) move view by mouse or/ and adjust view by insert, delete, page up/down keys press F10 (save snap view) and realise Kp5.

BTW By this method you don't have to turn off trackIR if you are using it.

Precision of this key adjustment  is regulated by options /camera - speed and inertia.

No you don't need to go to 2d mode , move you head in VR to desire position and press F10.

Sometimes when I adjust the pilot's head position, I will lose the intermediate zoom position, for no reason I have been able to discern.

Why Smelly_Fella chose this forum to ask his question is beyond me.  If there's one part of BoX he doesn't have, it's FC.

Okay, so being that my question is about how to adjust the off-center sights on aircraft in Flying Circus and being that my question doesn't quite fit into the other categories of the Flying Circus forum, where should I have asked my question other than in the General category of the Flying Circus forum?

And what is "BoX'....care to explain?

Hagar thinks you don't have FC because it doesn't show in your avatar listing. I'm assuming you have it on steam and it's not linked or you have another account. But whatever ...this is the right place ... :)

I do have FC and I purchased it through Steam, as well as BoS and Boden Platte, which I thought was a good idea at the time, but then I found out that purchasing through the IL2 store is better because the devs get all the $$$ which is good for future development of the sim(s).  So since then I've been buying modules such as BoM, BoK and collector planes directly through IL2.  Being that my copy of FC was purchased through Steam am I not suppose to post in the IL2 FC forum? LOL

you can't. From what I have heard. But I wouldn't worry about to much.

If you fly on line just go looking for Hagar and shoot the $h*t!!! out him to prove your an FC'er. He's easy to shoot down.
