I/JG2_Saladin Posted April 25, 2020 Posted April 25, 2020 Great News ! We are waiting for that for a while. 1
Enceladus828 Posted April 25, 2020 Posted April 25, 2020 Hurray!!!! Thousands of hours of hard work getting closer and closer to success!! I guess with Alpha testing taking around 5 months, we could possibly see the release of 5.0 in 2-3 months from now. Cheers to everyone. 1
Missionbug Posted April 25, 2020 Posted April 25, 2020 Excellent news, great to know we are getting ever closer to a release. Thank you very much to all involved, really appreciated, let us hope the effort is well rewarded in sales of the module to allow further development. Take care and be safe. Wishing you all the very best, Pete. 1 2
JonRedcorn Posted April 25, 2020 Posted April 25, 2020 Is the public allowed to get in on the beta testing?
II./JG27_Rich Posted April 25, 2020 Posted April 25, 2020 Will there be some twitch sessions like they did with Blitz? 1
Team Fusion ATAG_Pattle Posted April 25, 2020 Author Team Fusion Posted April 25, 2020 Yes, we will do Twitch in the lead up to release 2 2
=FEW=Hauggy Posted April 26, 2020 Posted April 26, 2020 (edited) Great news! But does that mean that we will be able to do the beta testing? (it sounds like it) Or simply that we're one massive step closer to release? Also when? Edited April 26, 2020 by =FEW=Hauggy
Team Fusion ATAG_Pattle Posted April 26, 2020 Author Team Fusion Posted April 26, 2020 Hi Hauggy, It is a closed Beta. No released date as yet. Cheers, Pattle 1
354thFG_Leifr Posted April 26, 2020 Posted April 26, 2020 Nothing has changed then, really. Congratulations on entering Beta though! I'm sure the team are thrilled!
Mysticpuma Posted April 26, 2020 Posted April 26, 2020 Come on then TFS. I got a thumbs up from you when I asked if the vehicle conga and ability for them to cross bridges was fixed.... so can we see a line of vehicles crossing a bridge in the British landscape? Waiting patiently ? 1

We already have a Alpha/Beta team recruited from the community flying and testing the game. 1C will make announcements re. release etc.
Enceladus828 Posted April 30, 2020 Posted April 30, 2020 A question I have is: 1. Are we going to see the Macchi 202 cockpit in a coming update? But a more profound question is 2. Will there be a patch 4.58 soon, or will the next patch be 5.0? Thank you Team Fusion, and wish you the best for continue development of this game. You people rock.?

The patch numbering for the new TF 5.0/Tobruk game will be 5.0... etc. The patch numbering for BLITZ will continue with 4.58... etc. (BLITZ will see upgrades in some areas when TF 5.0 is released. No new content, but visual effects, etc.) 2 1 1
Buffo002 Posted May 1, 2020 Posted May 1, 2020 Hello, great job, I'm already looking forward to the release of TFS 5.0. I want to ask if offline campaigns will have separate statistics in the new update? Ie. in each campaign how many aircraft I shot down, ground targets, etc. the only thing I miss there., otherwise great work. Buffin
Beazil Posted May 1, 2020 Posted May 1, 2020 Still planning on a day one buy. Thanks for the update! 1
BlindAsABat Posted May 1, 2020 Posted May 1, 2020 A closed Beta? After all that worked so well for V4.5 didn't it?
buster_dee Posted May 2, 2020 Posted May 2, 2020 When I was at 29 Palms training base, a friend kept dragging me out into the desert. He couldn't wait to throw himself at it; all I wanted to do was keep track of our water. That's what this project makes me feel like. Well done, and congrats on the milestone.

No new content, but visual effects, etc.) Hi Buzzsaw, does this mean that there will be two completely separate versions of CloD being supported at once in the future? This worries me since to me it would make more sense to just simply have one version (5.0x) with all the relevant upgrades and then people who do not buy the Tobruk update do not get access to the new desert map and the new aircraft, similar to IL2 Great Battles where it is all simply one installation and you can pick and choose which parts you want to buy but can still for instance fly multiplayer with those who have bought different expansions. The issue I can see arising is that if player A does not buy the Tobruk expansion, and a server is running on the 5.0 version a 1940 battle of britain map with no new 5.0 planes, player A could not fly on that server despite owning all the necessary content. I would imagine most servers will update to 5.0 so any players not purchasing Tobruk will get left behind without much multiplayer especially considering the small playerbase and they won't be able to enjoy even just the Battle of Britain content in MP. Is there a technical reason that the game has to be split into two versions? Of course if there is then it makes sense from the TFS developers point of view. However, it seems like the best option from the player point of view is to allow people who don't buy Tobruk to fly in version 5.0 with the Torbuk and 1941 content locked out until they purchase the expansion.
inexus Posted May 6, 2020 Posted May 6, 2020 Is there no interest in having buyers when it is now in Beta? I thought it would help with the $$$ side of things and get more feedback on bugs, etc.
II./JG27_Rich Posted May 6, 2020 Posted May 6, 2020 (edited) I guess no hints on the title either eh? ? Edited May 6, 2020 by II./JG27_Rich

U jiných let. simulátorů to tak je a je to lepší ... nebude v tom tzv. "bordel" a je to nejjednoduší když je vše v jedné hře a v nastavení, to je můj názor ... (CZ)
