FoxbatRU Posted April 24, 2020 Posted April 24, 2020 (edited) To play for a career as an Italian squadron, I made a mod that replaces all German names with Italian. It is better to turn on the mod before transferring to the Italian regiment and disconnecting before translating back to German regiment. http://www.mediafire.com/file/8f8x4mnoktuile1/names.zip/file All three versions (Italian, Romanian, Slovak) are in one archive. Only one of them can be used. Turning on and off in turn. In the Russian version, the Slovak mod can cause problems. Not tested in English. Anyway, I recommend making a career backup (\data\Career + \data\swf). Edited November 26, 2020 by FoxbatRU 2 6 3

But if desired, you can make mods for other nations. You just need 100 surnames and names. Of course, switching a mod every time is inconvenient, but within the framework of one of your careers it is not very difficult. 1
vonGraf Posted April 26, 2020 Posted April 26, 2020 (edited) Just a question. Can one add more names in the files to get a higher variety? Do I have to follow certain rules? I have the impression I'm seeing always the same German names and combinations, especially when playing two or three careers simultaneously. Edited April 26, 2020 by vonGraf

I assume that they are located in a certain way. In order for the generator to choose the most common (Schmidt, Meier, Weber ... and Ulf, Hans, Dieter ...) more often than more rare ones. Technically, you can add additional lines to this list, but practice will show whether the generator will use them.

You can, but there is a limit to how many can be added before you'll start seeing errors in the game. I tried a while back to expand the German pilot name database prodigiously (there were something like 1000 surnames in it) but it was too much for the game to handle. 1
FoxbatRU Posted November 21, 2020 Author Posted November 21, 2020 (edited) Added two options - Romanian (BoS) and Slovak (BoK). Edited November 21, 2020 by FoxbatRU 1
FoxbatRU Posted November 24, 2020 Author Posted November 24, 2020 Corrected the Slovak version. Non-standard letters were causing the error.
FoxbatRU Posted November 26, 2020 Author Posted November 26, 2020 Apparently the Slovak bots do not want to fight for the Third Reich either. ? Quite historical.? In the Russian version, victories are sometimes not counted for them. Not tested in English. Anyway, I recommend making a career backup (\data\Career + \data\swf).
