[MOD] Torpedoes for German Aircraft

Hi All,

I have the torpedo working with P38 for latest game version. the only issue I have not been able to resolve is if you drop the torp on land you still see a water explosion. other than that its all working as it should.

 

You get water splash on drop, a short run with no wake, then wake appears and remains in view indefinitely if you miss the ship or ends with an explosion if you hit the ship.

I have German He111 90% working just need to track down an missing object error, which is occurring on the impact with water.

For visual wakes the only map that shows torpedo wake is the Kuban map, testing I did a couple of years back proved it, and some quick tests recently confirm its only the Kuban map that has the full water effects enabled to show the wake on the torpedo.

Thanks ... will try that out .. you as expert, that wake trail cannot be modded into other maps?

I downloaded this Modyears ago , but un-installed because , if I remember correctly it had at that time no explosive effect. I came back to it yesterday and ...horray...it got its desired effect  target a large cargo ship, after dropped from a He-111 ! Marvelous! It seemed to have a few hick-ups and a short freeze or two, but I was able to work my way through them...Many thanks. Now if only someone would work on a few missions. I think tis torpedo mod might find a few more victims on the future Leningrad map?

I'll see if i can find some old mission, i had it working with a He111H6, but it only worked like general sc1000 bombs since some IL2 update some year or 2 ago. I will certainly Hurray if LizzLemon's mod would work again like it was.

In the old days i was really enjoying  torpedoing, watching the trail and the Big Bang when it hit something. Small fast boats seemed top IL2 sport..
