I believe I used to be able to adjust the range at which the Player could see the AI aircraft on the 'O' key map but I can't remember how I used to do it. Any help would be appreciated.

  1. Add a vehicle entity to your map
  2. go to the advanced properties
  3. check 'spotter radius' to turn on spotting for both friendlies and foes
  4. input the distance you want the vehicle to spot
    1. Note: value is in meters and I believe the max distance is 25,000 meters
  5. ????
  6. Profit!

If I need a reference for the radial distance, I use a complex trigger to get an idea of the distance because the vehicle spotter radius doesn't show it.

Aha! So that was the use of Spotting parameter. Up to now could never make any sense out of it.
