MadkiteMadkite Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 Simple one. In most sims there is a way to get TAS displayed. Used to be in old il2. Is there in this version as i cant find it? Was testing speeds in winter and summer and wanted TAS speed so air temp was not affecting gauge. Thanks.
Blackhawk_FR Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 There is not. Only the 262 has a TAS airspeed indicator. When I want to know TAS is use the website (there are probably many others): http://www.indoavis.co.id/main/tas.html
BlitzPig_EL Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 Nope. No TAS indicator that can be applied externally. The closest thing to that is the altitude displayed on the dashboard overlay that appears in the lower left of the screen with certain realism options, it acts as a radar altimeter, showing actual height above terrain, and not as a pressure altimeter that shows height above a corrected sea level mean using barometric pressure.

That was sugested to them to add, as like you say its default thing is flying games to have. Until they add it i just use this ( IAS from game is placed in "Equivalent Airspeed:" field ): https://aerotoolbox.com/airspeed-conversions/ Also numbers you see in specs for each airplane in game are done on Autumn maps, and your speeds will be differant on Summer (slower) and Winter (faster) to thouse if you wont to compare.
