Hi,

I seem to have a gunsight view problem with the P-47. I'm using TrackIr , the F12 key is supposed to center your view thru the windscreen/gunsight. When I fly the P-47, my view is centered below the gunsight(I'm sitting way to low in the cockpit.), I cannot see the reticle unless I cheat the system and raise my seat after hitting F12. If I accidentally hit the Hat Switch on my joystick, the pilots view will re-center below the gunsight again. The Page up and Page Down keys are default for raising and lowering the pilots head, but neither of these keys do anything in my game. (Perhaps a TrackIr issue?)

I do not have these gunsight view issues in any of the other aircraft. What is going on?

TIA,

Try this:

Line it up and press F10 to save your default view. Then recenter.

Start IL-2 with out TrackerIr running. Now start a QMB mission with the P47 on the runway engine running. Then press and hold the 5 key. This centers your pilots head. With the 5 key held down move the pilots head to where you can see the gunsight. Then press F10, this saves the head position. Now when you fly the P47 with TrackerIr running you should be centered on the sight.

Sometimes during the fight your center will move off, just press and release the 5 key. If it seems like your TrackerIr is floating off then press and hold the 5 key and while looking at the center of the screen, press F12, that will center the head and the TrackerIr.

Hope I made that as clear as mud.

Good Luck and watch your six.

Thx for the help, I'll give it a try.

Still curious as to why the P-47 is the only aircraft that seems to have this gunsight view issue.

Thx again,

Go to .../data/LuaScript/snapviews and delete the P47.svc file. The game will make a new one at start.
