For the life of me I can’t get the mustang off the ground.  Ive got plenty of speed but it always wants to tip the left wing over into the ground no matter what i do.  Does anyone have some advice or solutions.

Do you have this problem with other fighters? Are you countering torque effect with the pedals?

Murph asks good questions.  The American planes tended to have pretty phenomenal range.  If that bird is fully loaded and fueled I can see where you might have challenges with it.  Are you setting flaps and doing your best to keep it straight on takeoff?  Might seem like dumb questions but I know I used to have also of trouble with the heavier bombers, and never take full fuel.

Come to think of it I don't think I've ever lifted a fully fueled and loaded P51.

no problems with the p47 at all.  Yes ive applied pedals but the left wing just keeps hard tilting down.

flaps 20%,  fuel 50%.  I can keep a straight line.  Just as the planes starts to lift off it banks left hard into the ground

Online or SP? I've had a few AC on MP where the trim was preset to some weird settings on occasion. P-51 has trim on all three axis.

I honestly don't know.  I went and loaded up a couple of quick missions just now.  Took off on expert with no real difficulties other than a gentle (compared to some others, anyway) tendancy to want to wander to the left on the takeoff run.  So I doubled checked my settings and it turned out that I had only 68 % fuel.

So I did it again with extra ammo, 100 % fuel and two 1000lb bombs for good measure.  Nothing out of the ordinary other than needing the full runway.  I just am not getting the same result you are for some reason.

Of course, I can't turnfight worth a damn, but I can attest to it being a handfull at lower speeds, absolutely.  But nothing like you are talking about.

Have you checked your controller under windows control panel to see if it's cursor is wandering at all?  Just something to check, if you know what I am referring to.  I know my stick can come "uncalibrated" from time to time...

Edit:  In fact, check all your axis on all your controllers.  It takes no time at all.  You are looking for spikes, wandering cursor, sudden movements when using each axis (unless it is supposed to like a rocker in the old x45 rudder system).  You should see smooth movement.

If you aren't getting this in other planes, that is odd indeed.

Excellent.  Hopefully we can help you nail this down.  You might just need to set a small deadzone on your controls, but we'll figure that out after.  What is it that you are seeing?  Spiking in the rudder or roll axis maybe?

I've been flying her a bit recently. She drops a wing and stalls pretty hard if at full fuel and high angles of attack. She will, however, lift off the ground nicely, even at full fuel, by just holding the nose in the three point position. A good rule of thumb is to not climb her higher than having the artificial horizon line still visible above the fixed tab on the bottom center of the dial. Are you flying full real? Is the prop pitch or rpm not set correctly? I'm flying normal ATM and she lifts quite nicely at a boost level of 55/2750 rpm. Hope this helps.
