Maser Posted April 17, 2020 Posted April 17, 2020 Hi, I'm using Logitech G940 FFB joystick and after 8 months off from flying and now getting back I realized that current version of Il-2 box comes with an error that generates no force feedback on elevator axis. Aileron axis works correctly and in result joystick is totally 'limp' on Y axis while X axis gives a proper resistance. It is totally non-flyable that way. It worked perfectly fine few months back on mid August 2019. Of course I checked joystick on other simulators including Il-2 COD and DCS and in both it works correctly. I tried multiple things like: Alt + Tab, Opening / closing key mapping setup while in-game, Turning off and on in-game force feedback option, Increasing / decreasing in-game force feedback strength, Tested joystick in different USB ports, Restarting game, Restarting system. All of above multiple times and with combinations. Nothing works in Il-2 Box - on other sims it works ok. So I'm 99% sure it is due to some bug in one of recent updates. The only halfway solution I've found out is to enable centering spring in G940 device settings. But I'm not satisfied with this solution, because it doesn't work as precisely as regular spring joystick (pretty huge 'limp' zone around center) and of course lacks FFB that I really enjoy and want to use. Can anyone help me with that? 2

yedlosh Posted May 22, 2021 Posted May 22, 2021 Yep, I bought a cheap, but almost like new Logitech Force 3D Pro, just to try out the FFB, and immediately encountered the same error. I get the roll / aileron resistance, buffeting, cannon fire, but the pitch axis / elevator is completely limp, and therefore the FFB as a whole is unusable for me in IL-2. When I alt+tab out of the game, immediately the default centering spring effect take over, so the y axis motor is definitely ok. It also works in DCS. None of the tricks mentioned here helped Pls if possible somebody have a look at it. Since this cheapo Logitech stick is otherwise quite bad compared to my regular one, I definitely don't want to fly it in DCS, but hoped to at least have some fun with FFB in warbirds ?
