They just released the plugin to use the YAW VR on Il-2 BOX.

Has anyone tried it?
how does it work?
Any video?

For those of you who don't know YAW VR is a compact and affordable motion simulator. I was waiting for it to be compatible to buy it, but I would like to know opinions of how it works with the game.

Here is an example with war thunder:

and DCS:

It also works for fat people:

With that much swaying, I doubt You'd hit anything in vertical.

Interesting, generally in motion simulators, the tracking sensors need to be attached to the rig so your position is still relatively to the cockpit.

Which, in my mind means inside out tracking (rift S, cosmos, etc) wouldn't work.

But I can't quite tell in these videos, perhaps the yaw VR software compensates for its own movements in space and injects that back into the headsets relative position...

Hmm.

Looks like it would be pretty incredible for immersion, but I'd want to give it a good long go on a demo unit before forking out for it.

Indeed this is a relatively simple, light, small, affordable and 3-axis rotation motion simulator. Perhaps this post should be in the motion simulators subforum section, but here this motion simulator is just for VR. So this is the VR section.

Despite I have a fixed chair I have been always having an eye on motion simulators that can be used at home and doesn´t cost a fortune

The DCS video shows a guy with the HP REverb I think, which is an inside-out tracking.

But I see that the movements of the plane are not fully followed by the chair. I suppose this would depend on the config settings and also in how much you exceed the roll and pitch limits of the YawVR device.

What happen when you do a full loop or a roll?

These are the kind of things that I would love to test in a shop before buying.

To me it seems that the settings for motion in regards to the plane movement is way exaggerated and would probably be to much.
Perhaps there is some system settings to calibrate yaw and pitch to a more suitable motion. In VR You only need a very subtle motion to fool the brain into immersion.

You can decrease the intensity, the pb for me is that they have not a proper guide to install the hotas, also at the moment I don't have enough space.
