Fw190A5 official 4k Skins historically corrected (Missing skins added 19/02/22, faulty links fixed 06/07/22)

Well forget everything I've written about skin_02 Leonhardt skin, I just re-checked my most recent extractions and I see that this has already been rectified, you can find the historically updated official skin here! 

 

The one thing I can take away from all this is to routinely extract files and check the contents for changes and or corrections.

 

Was busy correcting the Fw109A6 skins and was cross-checking back against the A5 skins, when I noticed that one of the A5 Skins fw190a5_skin_11.dds "Hondt" was there but had not been historically corrected, and something seemed rather odd in there was paint missing from part of the aerial mast on the tail.

 

Further examination revealed that this same skin appears as a Fw190A3 skin, namely that being fw190a3_skin_02.dds "Leonhardt", which would appear to be quite incorrect.

 

I have added the most recently extracted Hondt skin and added it to the list below, with a fixed the aerial mast as this was till partly painted as if it was an A3 skin.

 

The spoiler below is shows the updated Hondt skin, and also what google suggests what Leonhardt's scheme should look like.

Hondt: Old extraction which exhibits a slight colour variation (whiter white) to that of the latest extracted file.

 

 

Updated skins for Grabmann (skin_05) and Kunze (skin_08) have been added, old files retained but now have an "_old" in the file names (19/02/2022).

Well as I hinted at in my Bf109G4 historic correction thread, I’ve burned some midnight oil yet again, so please find below links to the what's currently the last of the official 4K skins needing to be re-made historical, in the form of the Fw190A5.

Please note: skin fw190a5_skin_11.dds was created using Nvidia's new Texture Tools plug-in for Photoshop, sadly I have not been able to confirm the optimum settings for this plug-in thus far, I've not seen any issues with this skin myself, however please do let me know if anything seems off.

 

Default = \IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\data\graphics\Planes\target folder\Textures\?????.dds

Others = \IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\data\graphics\skins\target folder\?????_skin_*.dds

 

Target folder = fw190a5

 

Make sure mods is checked and as usual any problems just let me know.

Well looks like these two skins have changed since I originally did the historic treatment on the A5s back in 2020.

 

Just looked in my most recent extraction and confirmed that you are indeed correct, so I will historify these two new skins and post them above shortly.

As Hien-0_1 pointed out, two of the skins have changed since I historically corrected the A5s back in 2020, the skins in question are for Grabmann (skin_05) and Kunze (skin_08) these have now been done, and in case you missed it Hondt (skin_11) has also had the historical treatment applied as this skin was also added post the initial batch.
