You’re welcome! Maybe I’ll do more later. For now, the P-51 damage model seems to be the only one with issues.

All looks perfectly fine, game is developing in right direction, are you using AI and one waypoint to make them turn stedy ?

I suck with the ME. That’s the problem. I can’t get the AI to follow a waypoint, so they just turn in circles. I think I need to get the AI to spawn in to follow the waypoint.

rgr , it could be few things, but my guess without seing mission is maybe you didnt link Translator Mission Begin to activate waypoint.

Eight AP's from the 88 / Tiger, and two with the HE.  I'll keep that in mind in choosing the right tool for the right job in this sim.

Better off taking a mix of AP/HE and aiming for center mass or for engines. The wings aren’t going to break easily.

Tried out the damage model online last night. The He-111s wing still seems a bit too strong to me.

I was amazed it could still fly. There was zero stick control and purely on trim and auto pilot. It was shot down seconds after this screenshot. Otherwise when AI attack it in quick mission the HE-111 tends to go down very quickly or most of the crew die.  Both the rear gunner and under gunner were dead.

I notice the FW190's wing off is always at the root, I doubt this would be the case in reality, likely outside of the landing gear is more probable especially how damage was being dealt.

Where the 20 mm HE ammo is stored. Which is not in the root.

Thanks a lot, devs! This was a FAST turnaround time. IL-2 devs are the best!

 

P-51 was fixed 

 

He-111 seems better

 

 

Pe-2 wing seems less fragile:

Tested the damage model in multiplayer. Overall it seems better.
