computer requirements

I have il2 1946 with the vp pack installed and with most everything set to higher range good to excellent only get 35 fps to 55fps 

if I put everything down to lowest settings still only get 60 fps and with other aircraft in game it drops to 25

this is at 1920 1080 , if i set the monitor at 1280 720 frame rates go up to 90 to 120 

my computer is windows 7 amd 1.8 ghz 8 gb ram and using geforce 710 graphics card with 2 gb and 43 inch 4 k tv

I used my 27 inch monitor but everything very small not much different on frame rates at 1280 900 I believe was the settings

I play war thunder on ps4 pro and everything looks great should I get a new computer but it must run on windows 7

For Il2 1946 you should ask in the section of this forum for other 1c studios games. This is the section for the new game, Il2 Great Battles. Additionally for questions about that game and mods try Mission4today.com and SAS1946.com, I believe the creator of the VP modpack is online there often, or was back when I played 1946. But just generally speaking that computer is a little slow for modern gaming, especially the processor, and the VP modpack has a lot of higher definition textures that are probably taxing your graphics card and RAM. Trying to run the game on a big 4K tv with those settings is likely impossible. The other thing is that the old game engine that 1946 is built on has its own limits so past a certain point better hardware won’t make it run faster. Unfortunately getting a new computer with windows 7 is very difficult nowadays, but I believe 1946 will run on Windows 10 with some tweaks.
