Web Purchase - Steam

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

I had some trouble with this before, not realizing that since my account was linked it automatically updated in my Steam files.  However, I just purchased a new GB and its for sure not in my Steam library and its specifically listed as being different under my account.  Does anyone know how I now get this into my Steam account?  I tried going over to Steam and "activating" the product there but no luck.  I have another shopping cart ready to take advantage of the current sale but I want to make sure I can combine what I have.

I really wish I just purchased IL2 originally directly from them to start with...

But how do i get it activated then in game?  When I bought other GB packages it automatically showed in my Steam account since i had linked my username here with Steam.  This new purchase isn't acting like previous purchases.

Previous game/dlc's you bought from steam that's why they are visible in your steam account purchases.

Bodenplatte ypu bought from il2 web store and it won't be visible under steam purchases cos you didn't buy it there however Bodenplatte is still part of your il2:BoS steam version of game it just isn't visible in steam purchases...cos you didn't bought it there.

Just start game trough steam and you'll see Bodenplatte planes, map, career and everything else in your il2 BoS steam version of game (assuming accounts are linked).

And i think you cant activate it on steam, game content is there (BoS and BoBp) since your accounts are linked so who cares does it show in your steam library.

Thanks for the reply.  I did buy the very first IL2 (Stalingrad) via Steam, but i've been trying to more directly support the IL2 creators and have (1) linked my account to Steam and (2) purchased every other DLC and add-on direct (not through Steam).

Which makes this purchase more of a quandary since its not showing up in my game when i launch from Steam.  This last purchase isn't acting like my other purchases.  I might have to send a support request or something.

If yozr accounts are linked and BoBp content isn't showing when running il2 from steam than you should contact il2 support, they usually solve it quickly!

Ahoi!

I have the BoS Steam version and BoM, BoK, BoBp and TC from il2 Website (Had BoS in my wishinglist for years and learned about all the other dlc only after purchasing it on steam). My accounts are linked. When I start via steam everything is available, but when I start via il2-launcher or start the steam version without steam running, the BoS content is missing(no campaign/no planes available). Do I always have to run steam to play the Stalingrad content or is it possible without somehow?

And... can I delete the non-steam game folder?

Best regards

Up to this point everything was automatic for me since my account was linked.

Not sure why all of a sudden this isn't working.  I submitted a ticket but haven't heard anything.

I'm in the same boat. I bought BoS via Stem and now would like to boy BoB with the offer but it looks like it's a bit of a pain purchasing via the website directly.

I have all my games on Steam, so I'd prefer for BoB to show there too since I've paid for it, even at a discounted price.

Wish that the offer was also available on Steam, it would make the life a lot easier.

It used to work this way automatically .... i've submitted 2 support request and have heard nothing about it - which in itself is odd.  Maybe no one is working in support?

Shouldn't be a problem though if you have your accounts linked. When I start Steam BoS, all non-steam purchases show up and work correctly in game, but when I start via il2GB-launcher  without Steam running, the BoS content doesn't work in game, even though it's showing up correctly in the title screen then.

Not a big deal, espescially when running via steam anyway. But I find it strange that it's not working the other way around, even when my accounts are linked. I read somewhere in this forum, the steam version should work without having steam running. Indeed it actually does... but steam content is locked ingame then.

In the end I purchased the BoP from the website and actually was quite surprised that the new content was available in Steam immediately without having to download anything. So the process is actually not that bad. I didn't even bother with downloading the il2GB launcher as I launch all my games from Steam.
