Stumble Posted April 11, 2020 Posted April 11, 2020 Hi, I've ways had this problem with IL2, snap views never save. It means that every time I refly I have to reset all my views (main one is just for looking down sights, but also guages and compass). I had this problem in BoS, but I mainly fly in FC where snap views are pretty critical IMO. I use FaceTrackNoIR with the Free track plugin so I can use a 3point IR Led cap. I tried without using head tracking, but still the snap views reset. I also tried changing the SVC file to Read Only so IL2 couldn't change it, but that didn't seem to work either. Has anyone had this issue and does anyone know a fix? S! (Not sure if this thread belongs here or Technical Issues)
Stumble Posted April 11, 2020 Author Posted April 11, 2020 So... After a very long time testing, backing up, going through all settings and key bindings, I finally found the problem. For some reason when I would press both Numpad 5 and my snap view button on my joystick It would somehow switch to a different mode. in this mode, the snap views were not saved. Very frustrating but I got there in the end. S!
