Those guys are badass. Looks like they gave as good as they got but just got overrun in the end!

Yep we had some fun yesterday evening.

 

We were :

- A flight of 7 Bristol FE2b (if i remind) with 4 x 112 lbs bombs and 100% of fuel.

- A close cover of 2 fighters

- A flight cover of 5 or 6 planes if i remind (not sure for thenumber) which fly higher.

 

We took off from Valeureux (if i remind), attack the factory in 0808, then 2 Bombers keep their bombs and attack the barge in 0809 (South of Cambrai). Only 2 bombs from the 2 fighters are used to destroyed the barge. With the remaing bombs, we decided to attack the heavy flack on the back way in 0906 (not sure of the location), it was near Sapigny. We did only one bomb run on the heavy AAA and return home. That's why we don't know teh result on the heavy AAA.

 

For information, when german fighters attack us, we were on return base. Before, we destroyed teh factory, the barge, and we don't know the result, but we attaack the heavy AAA. It's between the Heavy AAA and the Nomans land that we were engaged.

 

We can go back at a very low altitude through the noman's land.

 

We lost only 2 fighters which were in close cover. Some of the Bristol fighters are wound, but all can go back in our line.

 

But we can't land as the mission finished. ?

 

I did  2 tracks and i hope i have time to make a video which could show you the other side. ?

But it may not be the most appropriate way to distinguish each pilot from a patrol...
