IL-2 Sturmovik: BOS wont open

So a while back I was able to run the game no problem. Now when I try to launch it, it shows up on the tasks bar and nothing else happens. If you hover over the icon it says it is not responding. I have just updated drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled, and verified the game files and nothing has fixed it yet. PLEASE HELP!!!

Are you using the Launcher.exe (which opens the launcher and updater), the Il2Sturmovik.exe (which just launches the game without going through the launcher) or Steam?

There is a new update today so maybe that is part of the issue?

I started out using the steam version which when I hit play game it shows up in the task bar and says not responding. I just got the launcher from the website and the launcher opens just fine, but when I hit play in the launcher it does the same thing as it does with steam.

Can you post your system specs?

Have you tried using the IL-2.exe from inside the /bin/game folder?
