Hi, I'm trying to make a mission multiplayer, but I don't know why when I landing or I dead always the mission restarts. Someone known why?

What's the value for Team points per round (DServer) or Points per round (in-game server)? Maybe it's too low. Set it to 99999999 to essentially ignore points.

 

Otherwise, please zip your mission and post it here.

Your issue seems pretty vague (at least to me); it could be any number of things....

 

Is the mission coop or dogfight?

 

Are you landing correctly or crash landing? Or are you landing at an airfield?

 

Do you have a score system?

 

Have you tried looking over the troubleshooting steps in Jim's mission editor manual (starts at page 179)? 

 

 

I agree with Jim, just post your mission here and maybe we can help you resolve your issue.

First of all thank you for your quick answer.

 

The mission is dogfight.

Landing right or crashes is the same result.

I don't active the score system, where I check if I have active it.

 

I tried different missions, the last was a mission with three airfields, two Germany players and other one Allie's players, only I put a flak36 in the German airfield, then I go to destroy it then I come to the airfield and landing, after that the mission restart automatically.

 

Tomorrow I check about the score, I don't configure nothing about it, I don't want score MP points. I don't know if it's possible don't configure it.

 

Let me see the documentation and I try it.

I tried to put the "Max time for round unlimited" and "Teams point per round 9999999", but when i go to the german airfield and destroy the flak36 and landing in my airfield then I click on "finish mission" and the scoreboard and restart mission again...

Seems that if I only put five nines in the Team points per round (99999) works fine, but the question is , Can I creat server without points and I  decide when restart the server? because if I don't put points, the mission end when I destroy the flak and click finish mission ... And I don't want it.

I'm not certain on this one... I played your mission just fine in both dserver and hosting locally. I wonder if you're doing something with the SDS file to make it so that once you die the mission completes?

when you destroy  the flak36, and click in finish mission, does the mission restart? I don't have nothing in my sds about the restart mission...

Nope! I killed myself. I landed. I tried it in dserver and peer to peer host and it worked fine without any restarting.

 

 

Looking at your server system... I think you have "Finish Mission if Landed" checked. Uncheck that, and it should work for you.

I think that option is for be able to finish mission button active, when you are in ground... I think but thank you I try it and tell you about it. o/ 

 

Can you try my mission and destroy the flak36 in german airfield then click finish mission and look at if mission restart pls

Hey thank you for try again my mission script, but I could see that you have set the "Points per round", but I don't want thats points in my mission, when you put "Points per round" to 0, then there's a problem with restart mission.

Ahh yes points at zero is too low a value! Gotta set it higher. Other than that, I'm not sure how the points system works. There's no arbitrary system that uses it, if I'm mistaken.

This one is a head scratcher.

 

Setting Points per round to 0 causes the mission to end after a minute or so (at least it did back in 2016 when I wrote the manual). You need to set it to a very high value (e.g., 99999999) to ensure that no side can ever lose that number of points. Once one side's points go to zero, the mission ends automatically, but only after  the pilot that scored the last kill ends their mission.

TAW is likely using the "Custom" Server Type with Team points per round set to 0. This would show 0 in-game for points (in the past, they were not shown at all), but I think points are ignored for the Custom server type. Perhaps one of the current server gurus can correct me re. the current points behaviour.

 

One thing I noticed is that you have Idle kick timeout set to 0. I would expect that this would kick you as soon as you spawned, but I did a quick test and was not kicked.
