Curious to see how this new CPU-GPU offloading would affect my oh so ancient AMD FX6100. Thing's super ancient now. Probably won't be much of an effect if I'm being negative a bit, but definitely hoping I could still chug along with it. Not due for an upgrade til God knows when.

Still, I'll take the ersatz spidey sense coming off from the slow mo effect I get when a whole bunch of planes end up all together in one place. ?

True. There is some complaint on the Russian forums about the tattered state of the helmet and boots. I obviously can't speak for how it was for the Soviet military in WW2, but I can definitely say in my years in the US army I saw people running around with everything from sparkling new to ratty old equipment and everything in between. Often mixed and matched.

I mean, wouldn't you keep a Bat'leth in the backseat if you were flying behind enemy lines??

No, because I'd be in 'cloaked' mode... no fear of being shot down and having to get into close combat!

I'd be up in orbit and simply implement General Order 24, and be done with it.

A form of ray tracing. Not final, many things to clean up.

Jason

HI Jason, just something that came to my mind, if this is a form of raytracing, will it be possible to use the hardware acceleration of Nvidia´s RTX cards to reduce the load on the GPU? Please note this is just me being curious, so no hard feelings if it´s not possible.

Good question!  Likewise I wonder about CUDA cores being utilized for physics, but since these are to my knowledge Nvidia proprietary software and hardware, I have no idea if these are reasonable technologies easily utilized by developers or more of a hindrance for them.  Probably both are true to an extent.
