HagarTheHorrible Posted April 3, 2020 Posted April 3, 2020 That Gene DeMarco had been done for fraud. Talk about fall from grace, of somebody I was extremely envious of and thought had the best job in the world.
NO.20_Krispy_Duck Posted April 3, 2020 Posted April 3, 2020 There were a number of articles in the New Zealand press over the course of last year and early this year about it. But being that it was in New Zealand, it did not have a huge following in the US or Europe. Very talented guy when it came to vintage aircraft flight and repairs, but who apparently was involved in shady dealings in New York and later in New Zealand. I agree, very unfortunate on all fronts. But it is encouraging to see Vintage Aviator is pressing on. They make some wonderful reproductions right down to period instruments and details. 1
