I am using MS FFB2 for my Flight sim. it works correct in DCS, ROF.

But In this new IL2, It gets problem.

It doesn't always occurs, it occurrs randomly and very frequently

  1) FFB2 keeps shakes strangly when I start the game.

  2) FFB2 loses force feedback on Y axis when I start the game.

  3) The feedback becomes very strong when I start the game.

I have to restart the game to fix that.

Anyone knows what is wrong ?

I am using newest version of IL2

I had this in a lot older versions of the game but havnt used a sindwinder for a couple of years. Its the one thing i dont miss about FFB.

You can sometimes get around it whilst still in the game mission by opening up the keybindings in the options menu, clicking accept and going back to the game (from very distant memory). You can usually tell if its worked by a smll "knock" in the stick as you click accept. I cant remember but i think i found keeping it roughly centred whilst you do this helped a little.

Alt -tab may also work in some situations but i found that became a sure fire way to crash the game  for me.

I have the same problems.

With too much shaking when you start the flight: pause, hit escape, go into settings/input, and change either of the settings for FFB by 10%, up or down, doesn't matter, then go back into your flight. Always works within three or four tries max.

This also works for the dead Y axis sometimes.

Did you try changing the input settings by 10% up or down during your flight?

Works for me every time, though It may take a few tries.

Same here till I got a powered USB hub, now it works great, all the time.  Get one and plug your MSFFB into it and fly!

I had all kinds of problems, throbbing, x2 force, missing force in pitch but not roll, crashes at main screen after missions, all kinds of junk.  The USB hub fixed it all.
