Because it is making the binary file.   PWCG takes longer but loading in the game is much shorter.

You can turn this off - then PWCG will make a mission in seconds but it will take minutes to load in game :)

It is still there, I am currently flying in june 42 on the Kuban map. Just select, what you want to fly, fighters for example, select all maps and the time, Kuban starts june 42, then your squadron with the airfield you will be based on. IIRC you will then go to Stalingrad in august 42, so you have two months on the Kuban map in 42.

Ok something REALLY weird is going on.

I remember quite well how it worked before- yet now only BoM BoK ans Kuban show up.  Also before I was flying 190s in Kuban early 42. Everything for 42 is kuban unless I missed something.

Ty for your reply

I also seem to recall US and Brit campaigns being playable.all thru 44 not starting on 9?

I wiah someone would just do all map axis except a tiny bubbble witb airfield to simulatw a preinvasion area

Question guys

I saw one mission as a recon.

Thanks. Why arent the Lapino, Kursk, and other maps used? Is there a way to introduce them??

2nd Pat -  I had a mission in Kuban from gelendzhik 1 Iirc (the T shaped field)  almost always my flight crashes as the take off direction isnt towards the other airfield and sea, no its towards the towering forested mountains! Is there a way to change what direction a unit takes off from??

I hate the long wait loading new missions but oh well.

Im.already wondering why I hadnt moved from career mode sooner.

Theres SOOO many config options it makes my head spin.

Fellas - can we maybe post any config changes people put in and why?

For example.maybe someone made all their spit missions short ranged. Or maybe someone figured out how to make way more ground units etc. (I know how to do that one) .point is Im curious as to what settings people use for different planes.

Also I want some suggestions for good campaign ideas.

The 110G2 isnt usable anywhere but bodenplatte? Also anyone got other suggestions?

I want to do a ju88, i got a 110 g2, stuka and sturmovik going.  I wanma add a p51.. and yak1b 7b campaign. I got a la5fn one going.  But i want some new stuff. I DONT like super long missions though..

Other maps: it's work.  Given limited time they have not bubbled to the top of the to do list.

Takeoff can vary depending on the wind.  It varies on an airfield by airfield basis.  We will have to look at that one to ensure that it always takes off in the right direction.

You can choose to wait for PWCG to create the binary file or you can choose to wait for the game to load the text file (old way).  In the end you are stuck waiting at some point.  I am a VR user so I prefer to let PWCG to the work.  This way I am not sitting there with the headset strapped on waiting for the mission to load in game.  It is configurable (will provide instructions)

Config options need a review, but the idea is that you should not have to play with them unless you really want to.  Simple config provides generally good defaults.  All simple configs do is set groups of advanced configs.

The 110 is now available on all maps.  Moscow and Stalingrad is the E2.  Kuban and Bodenplatte is the G2.  PWCG uses western Stalingrad to let the player fly continuously through the war.  Equipment replacement causes older types to be phased out gradually, so I cannot tell you exactly when a G2 will be available in your campaign in a squadron.  I can tell you when G2s start to be introduced and therefore when your squadron might get them.

You can choose to air start to shorten missions.  If you don't want air starts then you have to fly from the base.

The G2 is available somewhen in june 42 on Kuban and through Stalingrad from august 42 on. From what german Wikipedia says, it was not in duty before 1943, however.

Since there was an F and we don't have it I might have split the difference.  I will use planes earlier than I should (Stuka D, Yak in Moscow) or later than I should (all sorts of examples there, especially Russian) if I think the value of having the type outweighs the negatives of using the wrong type
