Functioning well upon release. That is all I expect. From what I have seen of the team's work elsewhere as long as it works it will most likely be decent out of the box.

There is no such thing as a perfect product. So I do not expect that either. I expect it to be better in some ways than it's predecessors .. and lacking in some ways when compared to some of those same predecessors.. but I do expect it to work.. and work on the PC I have now and ones a generation behind it .. not as well .. but working decently enough.
