DerFangzahn Posted March 31, 2020 Posted March 31, 2020 Hi, Recently I did set up a new PC. Due to its size I did not want to reinstall IL2 fully. So I did move the whole install directory to the new installation. Game starts without any issue. But... Now I have the problem that the game does not accept any input from my controllers. When I start the game it finds all controllers. Warthog set + VBK rudder and a G13. But it does not recognize the any inputs from them. I also noticed that if IL2 is running windows does also not recognize any input from the controllers. Closing Il2 and the inputs are there again. What do I miss here? Any suggestions?

No wonder your input is not recognized in IL2 - yes, they are listed in your key mapping table like for ex. Joy1, Joy2 etc. but in fact with your new PC your devices have got new input numbers. This means your "former" Joy1 is now maybe Joy2 or Joy3 and so on. I suppose, Windows OS recognizes your input devices and they are working OK, isn't it? There is a topic on that issue in this forum and how it can be solved manually without to much effort. Cheers

I have similar problem with wariation. I had Thrustmaster HOTAS X for sometime, but dropped flying because my laptop could not provide resonable fps. Now I've bought new machine and Steam refuses to work with my joystick. It sees it, but nothing could be done to assign axes and other controls. The stick works fine with old MS FS.
