LFL-EightyPLUS Posted March 30, 2020 Posted March 30, 2020 Hi all, Not far from where i live, on the Dutch coastline, there are to be many locations used by the Germans for seaplanes and S-Boats. While flying around that area in IL-2, it got me thinking; Are Seaplanes in IL-2 a viable option? Such as the He115, AR196 and the B&V138? Or the PBY or SuperMarine Walrus. I mean, is it possible to model them in a similar fashion as in RoF? And how would you appreciate them? Additionally this would translate great to other theaters such as PTO, For example the F1M2 Pete, or The Beriev BE4 in Kuban. Admittedly, Devs are busy as they are, but it would bring something new to the table, other then then almost 10 different BF109 versions, eg. Could work great as a collector plane... Thanks 2 2
unlikely_spider Posted March 30, 2020 Posted March 30, 2020 I would like that. Assuming there are single-player things to do with them.

FTC_Snowy Posted March 30, 2020 Posted March 30, 2020 Agree they would be a nice addition. A PBY Catalina would be sweet. 1
Enceladus828 Posted March 31, 2020 Posted March 31, 2020 The Ju-52 seaplane version could also be included, and maybe an MBR-2. 22 hours ago, Snowy said: A PBY Catalina would be sweet. I feel that the PBY would first be AI, then flyable. Likely due to the cockpit + gunners not being in the budget along with making the exterior. That’s my view.
FTC_Snowy Posted March 31, 2020 Posted March 31, 2020 I’d be OK with an AI PBY to start with and flyable later on. When we get that I’ll ask for a Sunderland ?
