B2 Stealth Bombers.

If it is of interest to anyone, my mate was surfing off the NE Coast of England last Monday, and saw 2x B2 Stealths heading South just off-coast.

I've seen the pics on his phone, and they're B2 Stealths without question.

There were 2 or 3 based at Fairford for a short time a couple of years ago, but I can't find any mention of this visit.

I'm sure it's all good news ?.

Ahhh....perhaps the US, having given up on invading Spain are now going to invade the UK?

I'm sure I'll be able to see it on my mates phone soon.:scratch_one-s_head:

By a strange coincidence I went surfing yesterday off the SW coast of England and didn't see a B2 Stealth or even a submarine.

I feel disappointed:rolleyes:

Fear not DD, no conspiracy here.

Just some get excited when 2 planes worth 3.5B or whatever fly into the country.

Don't buy into the hype, they are only worth 1.7 billion as soon as you fly them off the lot! Buy certified pre-owned strategic bombers, not new.

They only cost about 2.1B. Would of been less then that if all of them would have been made. Seems the US Gov. made the order, payed in advance then cancelled with only about 2/3 made.  And they did not get a refund on the unmade plans.

Was the maintenance data base manager for the B2 my last 5 or 6 years in the service. Heres a little known fact : it takes 400 man hours to replace the coffee machine in a B2.

Didn't it cost $4m to give the pilot an ashtray in the B1?:)

Yes but that was hand-finished by imported Russin virgins polishing it with their micro-shorts.

Craftsmanship never comes cheap:salute:

And he hasn't let them go back to Russia yet.
