Troutish Posted March 22, 2020 Posted March 22, 2020 My buddy cant connect to my coop server. I think it is a problem with port forwarding. My ip is huge: like this: 2001:558:6033:c4:1dab:fa57:5447:4229. my router's port forwarding section wont even let me enter it. so, any suggestions? Trout
JimTM Posted March 22, 2020 Posted March 22, 2020 Try this: 1. In Windows search box, type cmd and select the "Command Prompt" result. 2. In the Command Prompt window, type "ipconfig". 3. Note the IPv4 address and specify that when you forward your ports.
Troutish Posted March 23, 2020 Author Posted March 23, 2020 Thanks for the suggestion, but its not working. pfportchecker still says the port is unreachable
JimTM Posted March 24, 2020 Posted March 24, 2020 (edited) What happens when your friend tries to connect? Have you tried forwarding the following?: 28000 TCP 28000 UDP 28100 TCP/UDP Just be sure to forward to the IPv4 address described in the post above. Also, make sure that you have the External option (for DServer) or the Available from internet option (for in-game server) checked. Some people just cannot get a server to work for some reason, after trying to forward many different ports. Do a forum search on "port forward" and you'll see the problems and maybe some solutions.
