Moderators CLOD AWC Posted March 22, 2020 Moderators CLOD Posted March 22, 2020 This video is based on the famous Cologne Tank Duel in 1945. It is a sort of a test bed for future projects with ground units. Please let me know if you like the concept! Lemsip 10 4
gabuzomeu Posted March 22, 2020 Posted March 22, 2020 Congratulations, This is exactly the scene I was thinking of when doing these skins! Thank you, 1
=gRiJ=Roman- Posted March 22, 2020 Posted March 22, 2020 Well done. The second Sherman played the role of a tank we still do not have. I really like it. Thumbs up! 1

Jade_Monkey Posted March 25, 2020 Posted March 25, 2020 I read Spearhead a few months ago, great scene recreation!
Jaws2002 Posted May 7, 2020 Posted May 7, 2020 (edited) Cool movie. Just a little inaccuracy. The Panther commander didn't hesitate to move the tank. The Panther was not mobile. It was immobilized before that final fight began. Blown up track or mechanical issues, I don't remember exactly, but the Panther couldn't move. Edited May 7, 2020 by Jaws2002 1

Jaws2002 Posted May 8, 2020 Posted May 8, 2020 (edited) Three tanks and some infantry were left behind, in Köln, and the Germans blew up the bridges behind them. That famous Panther was immobilized there and the crew stayed in the tank and fought it out. I watched a good researched documentary about that battle. If i remember correctly, most of the crew got out. They said the gunner miss identified the new American M26 Pershing as German tank and he hesitated as the M26 took the corner. As you could see in that famous Video, the Panther was actually pointing at the US M26, but didn't fire. Edited May 8, 2020 by Jaws2002

One of just 20, the tank was designed to be more deadly than a Sherman and was hunting specifically for a German Panther tank. Smoyer’s crew first found another German tank, triggering a fateful duel."
