Desert map texture request

I'm hoping someone can create a re-texture of the Kuban map (or another map if it works better), to resemble a Mediterranean here is an example of what I'd like the result to achieve, I just don't know how to create this myself. Thanks for any help!

 

P.S. I've tried to contact MayBug, the creator of the map in the video but he is unresponsive.

Stalingrad autumn map looks pretty close to desert or Mediterranean.
