Mission Type: Dogfight

Situation:

I am spawning planes via a Complex Trigger.  Plane flies in and the flight is spawned.  So the spawn logic works and waypoints are properly targeted and linked.  Altitudes/speeds are consistent between planes and waypoints.  Waypoint areas are all set to 200.  No Command Formation is used.

Problem:

After the planes spawn they want to circle for a while before heading to the first waypoint.  Once there they follow the waypoint series.

If I use the logic "Mission Begin > Timer > Waypoint", those planes to head directly to the first waypoint.

I have tried setting the first waypoint to 'High' using the Complex Trigger logic but the Triggered planes still circle first.  This throws the timing off for them to be in a position to encounter the Player.

Yes I have read all the manuals concerning setting up AI planes flights.

Should I be doing something different?

TIA

What do you want exactly, because, if your timer is too high, the plane will circle before going to the waypoint, and if it's too short (which is the comom settings), the plane will go to the waypoint asap.

AHHH!  That was it.  I was using some Groups I got from somewhere and didn't check the Timer settings.  They were set for 2 minutes.  I reset them to 2 seconds and all is now well.

So many little things to mind in this Editor.  No wonder I will be learning for.....ever?  ?

Thank you very much. ??

Beebop,

Can you please zip up and post the Group and Complex Trigger setup that you have made?  It will definitely help others having similar problems have certain planes spawn in.
