DN308 Posted March 15, 2020 Posted March 15, 2020 Hello fellows, I use OpenTrack with a home made track ir problem, I don’t succeed in mapping it in order to allow me to look vertically. in particular I can look approx. 80° to the Sky but if i try to look higher my view go back to the tail, approx. 70° to the sky someone could be able to show its mapping? thanks in advance
cardboard_killer Posted March 15, 2020 Posted March 15, 2020 Requim has his OpenTrack profile available for download. Do a search for that user. 1

If the LEDs move out of trackable limits then it might snap back to a different view. So basically in Opentrack the mapping x-axis is the movement of you and the y-axis is the movement of your virtual head. You may need a steep curve - on pitch, mine goes from 0 to 180 degrees on the y-axis over the course of 15 on the x-axis - to get what you need. See attached screenshot if that makes more sense. I use a Delanclip headset with a PS3 Eye camera but your setup may require different curves. 1
