Sigma7 Posted March 10, 2020 Posted March 10, 2020 (edited) Hey fellow flightsimmers, i am new to the IL-2 Great Battles-series. I like it, awesome work so far! I like to play without the technochat, but it is a problem when it comes to the bombs safety switch-functionality in the Ju87. The corresponding switches in the cockpit don't move, thus you can not see if the safety switch is on or off. In Cliffs of Dover the switches in the cockpit work, why not here? Is there a chance, this will be fixed in the future? Cheers, Sigma7 Edited March 10, 2020 by Sigma7 2
smink1701 Posted March 10, 2020 Posted March 10, 2020 No switch functionality with IL2 and no chance in the future.

You've been able to arm / disarm bombs with a keyboard command for a long time now. 1 minute ago, Plurp said: What planes? Have been fixed and already released or for an upcoming release? Thanks. The planes that have the arming function animated in the cockpit include the P-39, P-40, P-47, P-38, P-51, and the MiG-3. I think the I-16 has it animated as well. Not sure about any others at the moment. 1 3
Sigma7 Posted March 10, 2020 Author Posted March 10, 2020 wow nice! Thank you for your replies. That was really fast
SqueakyS Posted March 10, 2020 Posted March 10, 2020 Just to clarify for anyone who skims the message. The post isn't talking about clickable cockpits, just the animation for arming/disarming the bombs. 2

They want to see the switch animated, so when you hit a command, you can see the effects in the cockpit and you can tell just by looking at the cockpit's switch position whether the safety is on or off. 2

Absolutely, imagine all these german bombs dropped with not armed fuzes But seriously, it would be nice to have this animated. I hate to have to turn on the HUD, if I am not sure anymore, if my bombs are armed. 3

Don´t you know that the allies had 150 octan electrolube on the continent since 42 while the germans had to smear coal dust all over thier switches??
