What settings should a mission builder use to increase the effectiveness and rapidity of AAA. Also what settings in the waypoints and also the advanced properties box for EA. I've tried low and high for the AAA and neither seems to send up enough in amount or how fast no matter which aaa I choose. Additionally with th EA, I've tried ace in the advanced properties and low and medium in their waypoints but they sometimes just fly rather than attack opposing aircraft.

I know the effects changed with the recent update. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Fighter waypoints should be “low”, and there is no way in alter the rate of fire of AA guns.

If you really want planes to attack each other then the only solution is to have Low priority waypoints on the incoming path and then a high priority Attack MCU that links the fighters or fightergroups together.

And having all of them in ace mode, is the maximum you can do.

Regarding ground AAA artillery, use an artillery unit as a leader to which you link all the artillery positions. Then you link a Force Complete MCU set to Low priority to the leader. This will guarantee furious maximum AAA fire against planes as long as they are in the range of the artillery pieces. And if you set the AI level of each artillery unit to high then in general you get a pretty deadly fire.

What remains is the number of artillery positions. I tested with up to 60 units in a city with a bomber run with 20 bombers, and I can tell you if you have a machine that can handle it it is just a fantastic show, with black flowers and tracers all over the sky and bombers going down in flame. Add about five fighters plunging in the bomber box and you have it. Welcome to WWII.

Understood.  But is there a way to alter accuracy?  I'm thinking of a low level high speed pass that a real gunner would have trouble tracking.

In newsreels you see AA gunners firing madly at attacking planes and few planes seem to go down as a direct result of the AA umbrella.

As with 1946, all too often our AA gunners are directly hooked into The Force.  But so far I have been unable to alter their accuracy like you could in '46 by using the "AI Level" option in 'Advanced Properties'.

AI setting directly affects accuracy.

Low - Normal - Ace
