The ground is rendered below where the actual ground is

I've had this issue since I bought the game last week. When I get close to the "ground", the actual ground pops up above where the ground seems to be. It also makes it impossible to land as i'm not able to see the runway until i'm within 5 meters. Not sure if it has something to do with the Kuban map.

Here is a video of the actual ground popping up. (a little hard to tell) https://gfycat.com/hollowpitifulbullfrog

Specs :

CPU : i7-8750H

GPU: GTX 1050Ti 4GB

RAM: 16GB

The game is currently installed on my SSD.

Hi,

if you don't run the editor and game at the same time (this can cause such problems),

you can try to check the games integrity via Steam

or if you use the launcher Version: delete the "updates" folder in the "IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of ..."  main folder and start the launcher to analyze the files,

activated mods can be a problem too.

Well, you can't start the editor with the launcher, you have to start it with  the "STEditor.exe"

which is located in your "...\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of ... \bin\editor" folder.

But beware, even when it's possible to run game and editor at the same time (start the game first, then the editor) , it is not recomended because it can cause many different problems.

At best use the editor only when the game is not running.

Here you can find JimTMs very good manual for the mission editor:
