DLC for FC?

Instead of a Chapter 2, what about some DLC (17-18) from RoF with some new additions?

Add the Breguet and Nieuport 28 and you’ve got a full house.

 

Since FC planes are being developed by a third party (except for the FMs), I’m not sure if it’s ever going to be an option. It would free them from the constraints of having to make another map or promising more (single player) features.

 

Then comes pricing. Would you pay 10-15 eurodollars for each individual plane?

From my perspective, it would really make sense to continue the 1918ish arc.. I mean I totally loved early war and the variety in RoF, but part of its problematic side was to find good MP timeframes with flightmodelwise good balanced settings on both sides without overly dominant single airframes (hello there, low fuel camels and Dr.1s)

 

So I would actually like to see a mix of old and new 1918 oriented planes, like:

 

Allies:

DH4

Nieuport 28

Breguet 14

 

Central:

Pfalz DXII

Siemens Schuckert DIII

Junkers JI

All I really want to do is hunt vulnerable 2-seaters in a sleek German scout.

When I’m not doing that, I just want to fly missions in a vulnerable 2-seater, while trying to avoid those sleek German scouts.

I think projects like the U2VS and Ju52 make the devs a little gunshy with certain types of collector planes.

 

We always have bunches of people here on these forums saying "Oh yeah, we should have that!" excited all about it.  Then we get it, and when do you actually see people fly it?  We've seen posts from Jason saying basically "Look guys, we like making these aircraft, but if nobody buys them, we can't make them."  Read between the lines and it's easy to decipher.

 

So then we have people here saying "We need this two-seater!"  Now I think there is far, far more likelihood of seeing these in the air than seeing a ju52 or u2vs, just because of the nature of WW1 mission design as opposed to WW2.  But I think from the devs' standpoint, we're already a niche within a niche, so....

 

Probably a pfalz D12 and N28 would be the most likely candidates to see if we ever got some collector planes for FC.

The Ju-52 and Po-2 are aircraft with specialist roles that are not included in the game.  What roles are included for them are sketchily delivered at best.   A permanently-unarmed fighter would be just as challenged for sales as for the very same reasons.

Two seater are popular , looking at numbers of ground targets destroyed, besides those planes were essence of ww1, not the scouts. Majority of mission objective are  for them to complete not scouts. More two-seaters please.
