IIIMuerteIII Posted March 2, 2020 Posted March 2, 2020 I will sound very nooby now and well concerning this certain topic I am one. I searched the board to find anwers but I am still not sure how it works in detail. I played RoF for years but exclusively single player in PWCG and I am completely new to IL2. I've never played coop in RoF as none of my friends had the game but now with FC that changed and I would love to play a coop campaign in PWCG with them. But I am uncertain how exactly this works and I couldn't find a dummy guide for it. Could someone give me an easy step by step explanation how to setup a coop game with multiple friends or give me the link to an existing one? Some questions I have: Does everyone of us need the mod or just the one whose hosting it? In case of the ladder, how does kill counts work? How do we get together? Do I invite them over the IL2 menu ingame? Do we need to be "friends" somewhere because some of us have the steam, others the website version? How many can play in one coop session? Do we need to be all the same type (i.e. Fighter) or can we be mixed? Bear in mind I literally have zero coop experience in flight sims, it is completely new to me. In case my questions are too detailed and bothersome to answer, I'd already preciate if someone could teach me the basics to get the coop running. Thx in advance guys!
PatrickAWlson Posted March 3, 2020 Posted March 3, 2020 (edited) I was hoping somebody else who actually does more coop would chime in. You might want to try repeating the post in the FC forum. Regardless, as far as I am aware FC and BoS coop are identical. 1. Just the host has PWCG. When you create a mission you include the participating human pilots. PWCG matches the planes in the logs to the pilots and knows who is who. Your pilots will get victories just as anybody else does. 2. I leave that to the player. There are lost of ways, including on the Coop forum here, to plan a coop flight. 3. I don't think Steam vs. store matters. 4. Limited by your server, but quite a few really. 5. PWCG supports both, but for mixed you have to pick "Competitive" even if everybody is on the same side. Here are some videos on coop: Edited March 3, 2020 by PatrickAWlson
