Help Udate needed

Where can I download the latest update for IL-2 Sturmovik ?  It won't run and saying it needs updated. Please Help. Thank You.

What game are you referring to?

 

Are you talking about the GREAT BATTLES series, or CLIFFS OF DOVER - BLITZ?

 

All updates can be downloaded from Steam.

Thanks for answering Buzzsaw. It is the Great Battles Version. I bought it off the IL2 website not Steam. Can I download it from Steam it is not in the game file for steam is there another way?

It sounds like you are opening the game through the Il2Sturmovik.exe.

There is a Launcher.exe that is used to download updates and launch the game. if you don't have a shortcut on your desktop, look in your game file folder for something that says "Launcher", should have a red star il2 symbol icon next to it. Open this, a small window will appear in the middle of the screen and the next update should automatically start downloading. Once it downloads ,you can click "Play" and launch the game.

Then, until there is another update, you can just launch the same way you were previously, or just use the launcher every time, it really makes no difference.

RedKestrel               Thank You that was it. My computer crashed ,got it fixed been putting things in again, I was using the Il2Sturmovik.exe. but did the launcher BINGO , all I got to do now is get all my settings done. Again  Thank You !
