EagleMountain Posted March 1, 2020 Posted March 1, 2020 Hi New to multiplayer and the mission editor in IL-2 Box. We tried the included mission Complex Example yesterday and had a real good time just taking off and flying around learning the ropes of multiplayer. Soon we moved onto some of the AI planes for some combat but they just fly around and do nothing - even collide. So my question is it possible to have AI planes in a "dogfight" mission that will attack the players? Thanks in advance. Mark
CorvusX Posted March 2, 2020 Posted March 2, 2020 (edited) Hi, yes it is. To do so you can change the ai planes waypoints priority from high to medium or low for this mission in the mission editor. (the lower the wp priority the more they concentrate to fight threats) Or download some missions here from the forum https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/forum/113-multiplayer-missions-co-op-and-dogfight/ Or and that's the easiest and quickest way if you are not familiar with the mission editor, use this tool: It let you generate missions literally within a few clicks. It handles Singleplayer, Coop and Dogfight missions. (it also includes fighting AI planes) Just play around with it and watch the results, after a short time you will get a good feeling for it. Take also a look at the "Tips and Tricks" section at the download page. Maybe a little later, in combination with some new earned ME skills, you can fit the generated missions more and more to your needs. This will help a lot to get these skills: Edited March 2, 2020 by CorvusX
JimTM Posted March 2, 2020 Posted March 2, 2020 Also, check out the "Missions and Campaigns" and "Mission Editor and Multiplayer Server Guides" sections in the IL-2 Resources post.
