AeroFlynn Posted March 1, 2020 Posted March 1, 2020 I'm fairly new to FC. I have notice many issues. 1. esc menu does not always show. I can't figure out why, it just seems random. I have to alt tab out and back and press esc to get it to show when this happens. 2. After setting up all my settings including removing all assigned to num pad, I assigned 7&4 for mixture and 8&5 for water radiator. It worked fine until yesterday. when I press 5 it centers my view yet there is nothing else assigned. It shows -inpcam_rotate_gopro_yaw+center assigned yet I cannot find this or anything else assigned to num pad 5. 3.
Goffik Posted March 1, 2020 Posted March 1, 2020 1. Sounds like something stealing focus from the game, which isn't always as obvious as a window popping up in front of your view. Try shutting down anything else running in the background.
JG1_Jaus Posted March 2, 2020 Posted March 2, 2020 I've been having the esc menu failure too. Using the same solution. The only things that I have running are things I want to run with the game like Thrustmaser Target, TIR, TS and Voiceattack.
JGr2/J5_Baeumer Posted March 2, 2020 Posted March 2, 2020 I have the same issue and am not new to the sim, so don't feel alone. It's always good to: Reboot machine before flying and only open essential software such as track IR and comms and lastly start Flying Circus. I occasionally have the issues you discuss and usually follows alt+tabbing to my comms program. I often need to resolve the problem in flight by starting task manager (cntrl+alt+delete and selecting from the menu) and then closing it immediately to get back to game and in control of plane and have in game menu (esc key) begin working. Welcome to FC ....your efforts and patience will be rewarded over time.
-332FG-brooklynspo Posted December 11, 2020 Posted December 11, 2020 I have the same issue - what is this "inpcam_rotate_gopro_yaw_center" assigned to Num 5? I can't find it anywhere!
JGr2/J5_Baeumer Posted December 11, 2020 Posted December 11, 2020 You might check your pilot head controls under settings and controls. Also, once you save your settings they are saved to a (I think it is named) profile.cfg (for configuration) file within the iL2/...../data/multiplayer/ folder. It is helpful to make a copy of this file after you make changes to your profile.
