I've built a mission and zipped it into a Winzip file, but when I attempt to "drag and drop", or "insert" the Zip file into the message at the location specified (lower part of msg box) ..I get  a notification box with following msg:  "! Allowed files are: Jpg, Png, Zip, rar, txt,7zip,gif, Jpeg".   That's it..no uploaded WinZip file.

Anyone know why I'm not able to upload my WinZip files?

I'm not sure why WinZip is not allowed, but 7-Zip is a good free alternative that can produce a .zip file (and a few other types).

Thanks Jim...I reinstalled Winzip and it seems to work now...And thank you for your great work on the mission editor manual..it helped a great deal while I fumbled with the editor.

I'm glad you found the manual worthwhile klunker. Good luck with your mission building adventure.

Are you the same klunker I used to fly with in RoF, CloD, and DCS?

Yeah, the same OLD "Klunker"  Guess I misspelled "clunker".  I noticed "Klunker" means something different in German..means
"sparkler" instead of an old car!  What a laugh )  And now I"m driving tanks...another laugh ))

Lol. I just put fuel in my tanks.  :)

If you are ever flying on Combat Box and you have Discord, look me up in the Combat Box channel if you want to go for a sortie for old time sake.

Will do..except I believe Combat Box is above my pay grade, or at least above my computers.  Think I went in with Wombat and found I had a horrible frame rates and all the planes were behaving like UFO's.  Also, I can only play on the Stalingrad, Moscow and Lapino maps because when I play the others I get a HARD freeze after about 15 or 20 min..sometimes sooner.  Heck, I didn't play IL2 for several years because it crashed everytime started flying more than two or three minutes.  It was only recently, after many updates that it started working on my CPU again.  Guess I'm lucky it works at all, and I'm just hoping the next update doesn't wreak that small bit.

Got an editor question that you may be able to answer.  I was looking for the Fast Tank Battle single player missions in the editor and couldn't find them. There's nothing there. I wanted to edit them in order to bring them up to date with some of the new tanks and add some Tigers to the mix.  In fact that's how I ended up putting together a tank mission for upload yesterday.  I couldn't find the mission files and thought I'd make up one like theirs, only put it in multiplayer to avoid having to reload the mission every time I died and also be able to play Coop with Wombat.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe you can get at the built-in missions in the editor, even if you play them first (see "Edit the Mission That You Just Played" on pg. 48 of the editor manual).

You're not wrong because I tried it with no luck.  It looks to load the QMB mission.  It won't load the Tank Scenario, Fast Tank Battle, Last Man Standing.  Those are the ones I wanted to edit but can't find them anywhere.  I also tried the *.* trick to find the bin file, but had no luck with that either.  So where could those files be hiding, and why can't we access them in the editor?

As they come with the game, they may be encrypted in some file, similar to how they store campaigns for sale.

Think you're right, but it's a shame they did it with stock single player missions

Do not use winzip. Windows 10 can do zip file natively and which work with the forum.

Select all your file, then right click and select send to compressed file
