Anybody have a clue what that red circled button, upper left, marked RM does?

 

Google is not helping. Me262 cockpits often varied due to the vagaries of the supply situation in Germany 44-5. Some pics its not there at all, others it is a blank spigot and looks completely inert

This is the coin release button for Reichsmark (RM) - on some airports you had to pay a parking fee...

A safety device for canopy jettison? When on ground and cockpit open you can not pull the handle or it prevents the explosive device from working?
